MIUI Notch Notification Mod
Smartphone brands around the world are flooding the market with Notch-equipped full screen phones like the Xiaomi Mi 8 or Xiaomi RedMi 6 Pro. You can hate it or love it, but it’s a fact that these notches are taking a huge amount of space away from the phones statusbar.
Apple does not have this problem, since iOS does not feature App Notification Icons at all. But being on Android, these Icons are very important for most of the customers and there is many voices wishing them back.
Along with our ROM development we decided to modify the MIUI firmware to bring back the App Notification Icons for Notch Phones like the Xiaomi Mi 8!
What do I need to install the MIUI Notch Notification Mod ?
Since Xiaomi does not allow any modifications to their phones by default, you would have to unlock the bootloader first. This enables you to install customized software to your smartphone, such as our Notch Notification Mod!
As soon as your phone is unlocked, you just need to install a custom recovery – TWRP is the first choice here. You can use our mod with any firmware you want, as long as it is based on MIUI!
Our MIUI Notch Notification Mod is updated every week along with the regular Xiaomi firmware update plan. After choosing your phone below, you will get a list with downloadable ZIP files to either install or uninstall the modification.
